About Us
Cyber Week Africa Conference was established in 2023 with the vision of creating a premier platform for cybersecurity professionals, enthusiasts, and organizations to come together and address the most pressing challenges in the digital world. Since its inception, Cyber Week has grown exponentially, attracting thousands of participants from across the globe.
The inaugural Cyber Week Conference was held at The university of Nairobi and focused on raising awareness about the emerging threats in cybersecurity. With a handful of expert speakers and a small but dedicated group of attendees, the event laid the foundation for what would become Africa’s leading cybersecurity conference.
Expansion and Growth
Over the years, Cyber Week expanded its scope and reach, introducing more diverse topics, interactive workshops, and hands-on training sessions. Each year, the conference featured high-profile keynote speakers, including renowned cybersecurity experts, industry leaders, and influential policymakers, making it a must-attend event for anyone involved in cybersecurity.
Recent Developments
In recent editions, Cyber Week has embraced new and innovative formats, including virtual sessions and hybrid events, to ensure accessibility and participation from a global audience. The conference continues to evolve, reflecting the dynamic nature of the cybersecurity landscape and addressing contemporary issues such as AI-driven threats, data privacy, and cyber crisis management.

Haider chaudhary
Haider Chaudhary, is an Enterprise Solutions, Cloud Technologies, CyberSecurity Specialist & XaaS Enthusiast at Mitsumi Distribution also a member of ISACA Kenya. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, working with diverse organizations to develop emerging markets for brands like Alcatel-Lucent, Avaya, Riverbed, Dell Enterprise and Intel across Asia, Middle-East and Africa. In his current role at Mitsumi Distribution, He is responsible for CyberSecurity & Cloud Technologies for East Africa Region. He is also responsible for Cloud Integrations, Channel Management and Channel Marketing activities.
Geoffrey Manoti
In his capacity as an instructor, he has shared his profound knowledge and insights with students, shaping the next generation of professionals in the field of information technology and cybersecurity. His commitment to education and his extensive credentials make him an invaluable asset to Multimedia University of Kenya and the broader academic community.
Thelma Kgankga
Group CISO at Equity Group Holdings Plc, the largest financial services group in East and Central Africa. She is also a recognized and award-winning leader in the field of cybersecurity, having been named a Global Top 100 CISO in 2020 and 2021, a Top 50 Woman in Cybersecurity Africa in 2020, and CISO of the Year in 2022.
She has diverse experience working with diverse financial institutions in East and Central Africa to develop and implement security solutions. In my current role at Equity Group Holdings Plc, I am responsible for leading a team of security professionals in protecting the Group’s information assets from cyber threats. I am also responsible for developing and implementing the Group’s cybersecurity strategy and ensuring that it is aligned with the Group’s overall business strategy.
Steve Gamba
He has many years of experience in the field of information security, working with diverse financial institutions in Kenya to develop and implement managed security solutions. In his current role at Safaricom, he is responsible for leading a team of security professionals in providing managed security services to Safaricom’s financial customers across Kenya. I am also responsible for developing and implementing Safaricom’s managed security strategy for the financial sector and ensuring that it is aligned with the company’s overall mission and objectives.
I am passionate about helping financial institutions in Kenya understand and manage their cyber security risks. I am also committed to developing and delivering innovative managed security solutions that meet the specific needs of financial institutions.
Dr Kennedy Oluoch
Safety and security expert at the Kenya School of Security Management. He has vast experience in the field of safety and security, risk management, peace and support operations and counter terrorism working with diverse organizations to develop and implement security solutions. In my current role at the KSSM, He is responsible for leading a team of safety and security professionals in protecting KSSM personnel and assets from safety and security threats. He is also responsible for developing and implementing the KSSM’s safety and security strategy and ensuring that it is aligned with the KKSM’s overall mission and objectives. He is also passionate about mentoring and training the next generation of safety and security professionals.
David Njoga
In the world of Cyber Governance, David has demonstrated his proficiency in crafting and implementing strategies that ensure robust cybersecurity practices and compliance. His insights into Digital Transformation showcase his ability to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape, leveraging technology to drive innovation and growth. He is a GRC mentor at Cybersafe Foundation, a Cybersecurity mentor at Strathmore, and a presidential digital talent program at ICT Authority. Cyber Governance expert at RisqPro Kenya. His expertise in Cyber Diplomacy highlights his ability to foster international collaboration in the realm of digital security, a vital skill in today’s interconnected world.
